The French Ministry of the Armed Forces, via Defense Innovation Agency (AID), is urgently seeking innovative proposals that can be used in the country’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A request for proposals posted on the ministry’s website says that it is not seeking a specific solution, but is instead after “innovative solutions, whether technological, organizational, managerial or adapting industrial processes, which could be directly mobilized in order to: protect the population, support patient care, test the population, monitoring the evolution of the disease at the individual level and the evolution of the pandemic, or helping to limit constraints during the crisis period.”

A budget of €10,000,000 has been allocated for the project, and can be used for “one of more” projects that is/are selected.

Proposals will need to be market-ready and mature enough to be used during the current pandemic, and needs to be scalable for use throughout France within the allocated budget.

The deadline for submission of proposals is the 12th of April. Late submissions will be considered, but the chances of success will be significantly reduced. More details can be found at https://www.defense.gouv.fr/aid/appels-a-projets/appel-a-projets-lutte-covid-19
