Otokar, Türkiye’s largest exporter of land platforms, has secured an order worth USD 83.6 million for its combat-proven COBRA II 4×4 tactical armoured wheeled vehicle. Under the export-registered contract, delivery of the vehicles is planned for 2025.

Sedef Vehbi, Otokar Military Cluster Head, emphasised the company’s global footprint in land systems, stating:

“Being a listed NATO and UN supplier, more than 33,000 Otokar military vehicles are actively serving in over 40 countries. These vehicles provide high performance and enhanced security in the most critical missions, ranging from combat operations to peacekeeping duties in the most challenging terrains. We reflect the experience acquired from diverse regions of the world into our continuous vehicle development efforts, tailored to the changing needs of our customers. COBRA II is one of the world’s best armoured vehicles in its class, successfully serving in Türkiye and many other countries.”

COBRA II in Service Across 13 Countries

The COBRA II 4×4 tactical armoured wheeled vehicle is currently used by more than 20 users in 13 countries, proving its capability in diverse climates and harsh terrain conditions worldwide.

Designed on Otokar’s nearly 40 years of defence industry experience, COBRA II is built as a modular platform that supports various mission configurations. Since its launch in 2013, 30 different variants have been developed to address the operational needs of its users.

In addition to superior mobility, the COBRA II offers protection against ballistic, mine, and IED threats. Its high power-to-weight ratio ensures robust performance, and the platform supports integration of a wide range of weapon systems and mission-specific equipment.
