Ultra Awarded $23 Million for Lightweight Torpedoes

This award is a contract modification reflecting an exercised option to provide the U.S. and allied navies with MK 54 lightweight torpedo array kits

Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems (d.b.a Ultra Naval Systems & Sensors), has been awarded a $23,151,045 fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-only modification to previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-6405 to exercise options for the production of MK54 MOD 0 lightweight torpedo (LWT) array kits, associated production support material, spares, and engineering and hardware support services. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. government, and the governments of the Netherlands, Belgium, New Zealand, Spain, and Brazil under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. This is option year three of the MK54 MOD 0 LWT array kits program to supply array nose assembly kits.

Martin Lewis, President of Naval Systems and Sensors, commented:

“As we continue to provide critical components of the MK54 lightweight torpedo, we understand the ongoing need to deliver reliable and effective undersea warfare capabilities to meet the anti-submarine warfare needs of U.S. and allied fleets.”
