MilCIS 2025 ADPR 728x90Hanwha Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Estonian technology leaders Nortal and SensusQ to co-develop a next-generation Battlefield Management System (BMS). The agreement was formalised on September 3 at the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Poland.

This landmark partnership combines Hanwha’s Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) platform with advanced software and systems integration expertise from Estonia, aiming to deliver one of the most capable BMS solutions available to NATO and European defence forces.

Building the Next Generation Battlefield Management System

A Battlefield Management System is a critical tool for modern militaries, enabling commanders to gather, process, and share near-real-time combat information. This capability enhances decision-making and allows for more effective command and control on the battlefield.

The new Hanwha Aerospace Battlefield Management System will feature:

  • Modular architecture for rapid integration across multiple platforms
  • Real-time, multi-domain decision support and automated intelligence processing
  • Secure, coalition-ready interoperability for NATO and partner forces
  • Scalable design to meet the demands of future high-tempo operations

By leveraging Hanwha’s field-proven Redback IFV platform, the system will be adaptable to a wide range of military vehicles and operational needs.
