Aiming for Zero Trust Leadership in Europe
Leonardo has announced a major step toward European cybersecurity leadership with the acquisition of a 24.55% stake in SSH Communications Security Corporation, a Finnish cybersecurity firm renowned for its cryptographic and secure communication technologies. The €20 million deal supports Leonardo’s goal to become a frontrunner in the “Zero Trust” cybersecurity paradigm.
Strategic Alignment with Leonardo’s Industrial Plan
This investment aligns with Leonardo’s updated Industrial Plan (March 2025) and expands its presence in the international cyber solutions market. With this move, Leonardo becomes the only industrial investor in SSH, further consolidating its role in advancing Trusted Cyber Security across Europe.
“Cybersecurity represents one of the strategic development areas of our industrial plan. With this acquisition, Leonardo increases its portfolio in an international perspective, positioning itself as a reference point to lead the Zero Trust revolution in Europe,” said Roberto Cingolani, CEO and General Manager of Leonardo.
