AF Indra Banner Defensa 728x90pxEDGE, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defence groups, has signed a landmark cooperation agreement with Republikorp, Indonesia’s leading defence holding company, during the Dubai Airshow 2025 (DAS 2025).

The strategic initiative with Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence represents the largest and most pivotal international programme in EDGE’s history.

A USD 7 Billion Defence Modernisation Framework

The agreement covers:

  • Transfer of technology (ToT)
  • Localised production and industrial capability building
  • Co-development of advanced defence systems
  • A comprehensive modernisation programme for the Indonesian Armed Forces

The total financing and procurement package amounts to USD 7 billion, provided through the UAE to support Indonesia’s defence modernisation, technological advancement, and long-term industrial autonomy.

Building Indonesia’s Defence Industrial Base

The partnership spans a wide range of systems and capabilities, including:

  • SKYKNIGHT air defence missile system
  • Next-generation infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs)
  • Unmanned stealth missile boats
  • Cyber defence solutions
  • Small arms ammunition production technologies

These initiatives reinforce Indonesia’s path towards defence self-reliance while strengthening the UAE’s global defence supply chain.
