Saab has secured a new order from BAE Systems Hägglunds for its UTAAS (Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System) sight and fire control system, supporting the continued production and upgrade of the Combat Vehicle 90 (CV90) fleet. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 314 million, with deliveries scheduled for 2029–2030.

UTAAS: Modular Sight and Fire Control Solution for CV90

The UTAAS is a modular, integrated sight and fire control system designed specifically for the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle. The system is currently deployed with armed forces in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, and Ukraine, and has also been ordered by the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Meeting Growing Global Demand

This latest order highlights Saab’s ongoing role in supporting the expanding international adoption of the CV90 platform and its associated advanced targeting and fire control technologies.
