GKN Aerospace has signed a six-year follow-on contract with BAE Systems for the continued manufacture and supply of transparencies for the Eurofighter Typhoon. This agreement extends production through to the end of 2030 and ensures uninterrupted operations at GKN Aerospace’s Luton facility.
Under the new deal, GKN Aerospace will continue to deliver high-quality transparencies, supporting the sustainment of the Typhoon fleet for international customers. The contract offers long-term stability to the Luton site, a key contributor in the UK’s aerospace supply chain.
“This is a critical time for the European defence industry as it steps up to meet increasing government commitments and growing equipment needs,” said Shawn Black, President of GKN Aerospace’s Defence business.
“We are proud to continue our long partnership with BAE Systems on this iconic platform and honoured to support the Typhoon fleet and protect our servicemen and women.”
