HENSOLDT has introduced TAERVUS, a fully integrated solution for Electromagnetic Warfare (EW). The system unifies advanced radio direction finders, receivers and jammers/exciters with powerful signal-processing software and HENSOLDT’s proprietary Spectrum Battle Management Suite (SBMS). Trusted for years across multiple platforms, these technologies are now consolidated under a single system name.
TAERVUS spans both COMINT (communications intelligence) and ELINT (electronic intelligence) across HF, VHF, UHF and extended microwave bands. It also offers jamming capabilities against hostile communications and radar systems. The name merges the Latin Terra (earth) and Corvus (crow), symbolising its role as a land-based EW system and referencing the crow, long associated with electromagnetic warfare.

The TAERVUS system combines tactical and strategic reconnaissance with the ability to disrupt adversary communication networks. Its modular, software-defined, and networked architecture enables multiple components to operate cohesively as a system of systems.
